About the Department
Welcome to the Department of Medical Sciences & Education (MedSci&Edu) at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. The MedSci&Edu Department consists of a dynamic and dedicated group of both full-time and voluntary educators.
As the Inaugural Chair of the MedSci&Edu Department, I am excited to work with faculty, staff and students to foster a vibrant educational community at the Chobanian & Avedisian SOM. The core of the MedSci&Edu mission is to promote excellence in the education of Chobanian & Avedisian SOM students through development of innovative pedagogy, integrative curriculum and ongoing education-focused research.
Additionally, MedSci&Edu is committed to providing educational opportunities here at Chobanian & Avedisian SOM, as well as to the surrounding community and beyond by imparting knowledge of the medical sciences beyond our walls through various service projects, community outreach, training and research programs, and more.
