Minali Prasad, Class of 2025, has embraced a wide range of research opportunities during her time at BU. She began her journey in Dr. Andrew Taylor’s ocular immunology lab, where she gained valuable hands-on experience with techniques such as mouse eye dissections, gel electrophoresis, and Western blotting. Following the COVID-19 shutdown, Minali transitioned to clinical research under the mentorship of Dr. Manju Subramanian, a surgical retina specialist at Boston Medical Center. Her work has spanned diverse topics, including retinal disease management, the ocular effects of systemic conditions, and disparities in ophthalmic health care.
